The Student Teacher Diaries Ep 5

Hi Guys!!!

Wowsers… so I had another hectic week last week and unfortunately my body could not keep up with my brain!!

I got what I think must have been the worst flu of my life… it was so bad I couldn’t even move from my couch for 2 days 😦

Something I didn’t go into very much in this video (but I think I’l talk about this week) is how hard it is, not only working full time AND being a full time university student, Β but being the partner of a FIFO worker. Normally I can handle Scott being away and it only affects me slightly but this week I really noticed his absence. It isn’t easy (if you watched last week’s blog you’ll know all about the pressure it puts on us) but we work really hard at our relationship and I’m so so soooo lucky that I found a man that loves me even when I’m crazy ❀ ❀ ❀ Β If you have any questions about how Scott and I keep balance in our relationship, please don’t hesitate to ask!

So without further a-do… here is this week’s Vlog ❀

That’s all from me this week guys,

I’m still recovering from my flu and, given my bed-ridden weekend, I’m also behind with my studies so most of this week will be spent playing catch up πŸ™‚

Until next week

The Student Teacher Diaries : Week Beginning July 30 2018

Okie Dokie….

So during my professional experience over the last month I was writing daily reflections and also reflecting after each lesson I taught and it was getting to the point that I couldn’t even remember what I was reflecting on anymore (#sleepdeprivedstudentteacherlife). So to save time I decided that instead of writing my reflections I would use my phone and record a quick clip of myself.

This is the best idea I’ve ever had because (a) I saved a butt load of time and (b) I was able to record myself straight away in the moment so my reflections were a lot more genuine than their original written counterparts.

I really enjoyed looking back over my past video diaries so I have decided to continue to create video reflections throughout my last year as a student teacher so that in years to come when I am an experienced teacher I can look back and see how far I’ve come.

I created a youtube channel (because I can’t afford to pay for the fancy WordPress account where you can embed your own videos #brokestudentlife) to upload my videos and will create a blog post to accompany each video every week.

As always any advice or feedback you wish to give would be massively appreciated (especially considering my camera skills are far from great).

I hope you enjoy watching my reflections as much as I enjoyed making them ❀

Have a beautiful day!!

Namaste xx
